One of my favorite things about Spring and Summer (besides the warm weather finally sticking around!) is moving my indoor plant babies outside and, of course, adding a few new ones to the crew.
Plants bring me so much joy at home, and every year I like to treat myself to a few new finds.
🌵 Local Gem #1: SoCal Plants in Downtown Edwardsville
This year’s standout? A big, beautiful cactus I found at SoCal Plants in downtown Edwardsville. I’m obsessed! It was love at first sight, and if you’re into boutique plant shops, this place is a must-visit.
🌿 Local Gem #2: Boxwood in St. Louis
Another favorite stop of mine is Boxwood in St. Louis. I pop in at least once a year, and this time I scored a gorgeous mixed plant arrangement for around $35.
🍷 Bonus: Boxwood has an amazing restaurant and bar inside, so you can grab a drink or bite while you shop. Win-win!
🏠 Plant Decor for Home Staging
Whether you are decorating your space, staging to sell (plants make great neutral decor, and I am always happy to help with staging tips!), or just love a good plant shop, I definitely recommend checking out both spots. Happy planting, and happy spring! 🌸

If you’ve got a home project in mind (big or small), I’d love to help you think it through. I keep a list of trusted local vendors I’ve worked with, many of whom I’ve hired personally for my own home, and I’m happy to share it with you!
🌿 Master Bathroom Shower Transformation
Recently, I finally tackled a project I’ve been dreaming about for years: adding a window in the master bathroom shower.
The shower is a big, tiled walk-in, and this small change completely transformed the space. Not to mention, I can now have thriving plants in my bathroom! 🌿😍
💰 Project Cost Breakdown (Under $1,000!)
Even better? The whole project came in under $1,000:
Labor: $500
Window: $200
Tile & Supplies: $200
Not only does it feel amazing, but I am confident it added equity to my home! 🏡💰
Check out the before and after photos below—you won’t believe the difference! 📸
