Wallpaper Trends, Bathroom Makeovers & Granite City Real Estate News | Allison Sells Homes

Wallpaper is BACK! (And It’s Not What You Remember) 😍
I recently added a wallpaper mural to my master bathroom, and I am obsessed with how it turned out!
If the word "wallpaper" brings up painful memories of endless scraping or outdated patterns, I have great news: today's wallpaper is a whole different story. We’re seeing a massive comeback, but with fresh, modern twists:
Oversized Florals & Bold Patterns: Perfect for making a statement in small spaces like powder rooms or accent walls.
Textured Finishes: Adding warmth, dimension, and luxury to bedrooms and dining areas.
Gorgeous Wall Murals: Custom, full-scale artwork that transforms an entire room (this is the route I went!).
Easy Removal & Peel-and-Stick Options: Gone are the days of spending weekend after weekend scraping paste off drywall. Modern peel-and-stick and non-woven papers make installation and removal infinitely easier.
My Bathroom Transformation
A huge shout-out to my go-to designer, Laura Certa with The Spruced Home, who helped bring this vision to life! She is dynamic, incredibly talented, and a dream to work with.

🚨 Good News for Granite City Home Sellers!
Shifting gears to local real estate news: if you're planning to sell a home in Granite City, Illinois, the city council just passed a major update!
The city officially voted to eliminate municipal resale inspections for new sales moving forward.
What does this mean for you?
One Less Hurdle: Fewer delays and less administrative hassle during the closing process.
One Less Fee: Reduced out-of-pocket expenses when listing your home.
Note on existing sales: If your property has already been inspected under the old rule and is currently awaiting a re-inspection, you will still need to complete that final step.
This is a fantastic, seller-friendly change for our local market!
