Sometimes it's hard to picture how much a few updates can transform a space! I had these before and after pictures taken of a duplex we bought this year on Kingshighway in St Louis.
For around $2,000 we were able to make the entire space much more appealing - we had a contractor paint all the rooms in a warm greige, update the light fixtures, and hang curtains up in one bedroom and the living room. This transformation cost approximately $2000 including labor and materials - money well spent if you are selling or renting your home. :) If you are considering selling, I can help you give your home the "wow" factor it needs for an effortless sale - a consultation is always FREE!

I love house projects & updating - especially seeing the difference paint can make!! Check out these before and after shots of a home I recently sold in Glen Carbon. Fireplace before and after: This home was built in the late 90s when brick was more popular around a fireplace. The buyers did a whitewash paint finish that I LOVE! It really gives it a more modern, fresh look. Island before and after: The owners painted most of the cabinets white and chose a warm grey for the island. Another choice I LOVE!

If you are selling your house, I have lots of tips like this to help your home sparkle so that you get TOP DOLLAR! A consultation is always free - let's set up a time to meet :) Watch me demo and see for yourself. ![]() Halfway between green and yellow — this fun hue can bring just the right zing as an accent wall or can be paired with neutrals to bring a modern flair. According to Wikipedia, this color got its name because it resembled the green color of one of the French liqueurs called green chartreuse, introduced in 1764. Who knew? :) Check out the home I have for sale at 825 Willoway in East Alton. I totally LOVE the fresh chartreuse color they picked for their living room. It works beautifully with their wood floors and curtains.
![]() What’s wrong with this picture?? If you are selling your house, two things for sure! First of all, and I can’t emphasize this enough, you must hire a professional if you are serious about selling your home. The chances are slim to none that the future owner of your home will not be online house-stalking before they actually pick the homes they want to see. If they don’t like how your home looks online, you may miss a potential sale!! Second, staging is imperative to get top dollar. It doesn’t have to take long, and it doesn’t have to cost much! For example, let’s take the master bathroom – here are a few quick things you can do to get this room ready for photos:
