Halfway between green and yellow — this fun hue can bring just the right zing as an accent wall or can be paired with neutrals to bring a modern flair. According to Wikipedia, this color got its name because it resembled the green color of one of the French liqueurs called green chartreuse, introduced in 1764. Who knew? :) Check out the home I have for sale at 825 Willoway in East Alton. I totally LOVE the fresh chartreuse color they picked for their living room. It works beautifully with their wood floors and curtains. A note about picking the right colors for staging – While it’s true that neutrals are best for many rooms of your house when you are selling, a pop of color here and there can add personality and make your home more memorable. I sold the home pictured below in just 16 days and I love how the owner used Chartreuse as an accent color in her great room. I’m even adding my color crush to my son’s room as an accent color on the ceiling. It’s a work in progress, I’ll post a picture when it’s complete!
