I love house projects & updating - especially seeing the difference paint can make!! Check out these before and after shots of a home I recently sold in Glen Carbon.
Fireplace before and after: This home was built in the late 90s when brick was more popular around a fireplace. The buyers did a whitewash paint finish that I LOVE! It really gives it a more modern, fresh look.
Island before and after: The owners painted most of the cabinets white and chose a warm grey for the island. Another choice I LOVE!
Our house is only three years old and the grout in our bathrooms was already sooo dirty looking!! I tried this product at my house and the results were amazing! The floors look new again! If you are selling your house, I have lots of tips like this to help your home sparkle so that you get TOP DOLLAR! A consultation is always free - let's set up a time to meet :)

Halfway between green and yellow — this fun hue can bring just the right zing as an accent wall or can be paired with neutrals to bring a modern flair. According to Wikipedia, this color got its name because it resembled the green color of one of the French liqueurs called green chartreuse, introduced in 1764. Who knew? :)
Check out the home I have for sale at 825 Willoway in East Alton. I totally LOVE the fresh chartreuse color they picked for their living room. It works beautifully with their wood floors and curtains.
What’s wrong with this picture?? If you are selling your house, two things for sure!
First of all, and I can’t emphasize this enough, you must hire a professional if you are serious about selling your home. The chances are slim to none that the future owner of your home will not be online house-stalking before they actually pick the homes they want to see. If they don’t like how your home looks online, you may miss a potential sale!!
Second, staging is imperative to get top dollar. It doesn’t have to take long, and it doesn’t have to cost much! For example, let’s take the master bathroom – here are a few quick things you can do to get this room ready for photos:
Can you believe the difference that paint made in this kitchen!!?? The owners of this home are gearing up to sell and painting the cabinets is one of the suggestions I made. I think the white cabinets (actually, they are a very light grey) make the stainless appliances and cool light fixtures stand out even more. As a seller, you want buyers to notice all the nice improvements you have made, and in this case the color really helps draw your eye to the appliances. The owner commented that she also thinks it shows off the number of cabinets she has more than the original brown. I am super impressed with this mini face lift and I know it will translate into a higher offer!!
If you are thinking about selling your home and you think your kitchen might need some love, shoot me a message. I would be happy to help you decide if the project you have in mind will pay off.
I can also help you select a color and find a painter...my favorite part!
