Spotlight on a Trusted Professional:Trent Prueter of Painting with a Purpose 🎨A fresh coat of paint can completely transform a space, and Trent and Ben from Painting with a Purpose are my go-to painting pros. Based in Edwardsville, they’ve been making homes look amazing for five years. Recently, Trent painted Nala’s room, and I couldn’t be happier! We used Alabaster by Sherwin Williams on the walls—a soft, modern white I love—and a light Swiftie-inspired purple for the ceiling. Many people default to white for ceilings, but adding color can bring so much personality to a space! Trent has also been a huge help in getting my clients’ homes market-ready. One trend I’m loving? Color drenching—painting walls, doors, and trim the same shade for a seamless look. We did this in Nala’s room, and it turned out beautifully! Thinking about selling? Some painting and prep work can even be covered at closing. Let’s chat about colors that will make your home shine—whether for you or a future buyer! Dog-Friendly Fun: My Visit to Bar K St. LouisIf you’re as obsessed with your canine companion as I am, you might want to check out Bar K in St. Louis! This place is huge—spanning 2 acres with both indoor and outdoor play areas. They also have an attached restaurant and bar, though I didn’t get a chance to try the food. What I can say is that Mochi had an absolute blast! 🐶 Bar K hosts breed meet-ups, live music, and adoption events, making it more than just a dog park—it’s a whole social scene for pups and their humans. One thing to note: unlike some free dog parks, Bar K does charge an entry fee. We paid $20 for a one-day pass, but they also offer membership options. Next on my list to check out is Schwarz Street Dog Park near downtown Edwardsville—it always looks lively when I drive by! Do you have a favorite dog park? I’d love to hear about it, and maybe we can plan a doggie meet-up sometime! 🐾 🏡 Listing Spotlight: 1008 N Belt West
✨ Design Trend: Countertops as BacksplashI recently sold a home in Highland, and the new homeowner has been sending me updates on her renovations—let me just say, I’m so impressed! One update I absolutely love is her decision to carry the solid surface countertop up the wall as the backsplash instead of using a different material like tile. This seamless look is sleek, modern, and makes for easy cleaning—plus, it creates a luxurious, high-end feel without the visual breaks that traditional tile can sometimes bring. It truly transformed her kitchen! If you're planning a renovation, this is definitely a trend worth considering. Have you seen or done this in your own home? I’d love to hear your thoughts! 🏡✨
